Student Life Welcome Grants applications will be assessed against the following criteria:
- The project should
- Align with at least one key focus area
Focus areas include- Social and cohort building activities
- Navigating University
- Skill development
- Engaging with community and culture
- Be open to all students
Regardless of faculty, school, or society membership, and especially valued when actively engaging diverse student groups. - Elevate engagement
Enhance students' engagement by building a sense of community, belonging, and social connection. - Offer something new and innovative
Established events may qualify only if grant support clearly amplifies their scale or impact. - Achievable and feasible
Demonstrate thoughtful planning to ensure the event is workable within existing resources and timelines. - Be sustainable
Sustainability should be considered across planning and execution. - Present manageable financial and student safety risk
Projects deemed moderate or high risk may be considered ineligible. - Ensure transparency through declaration
External interests declared on the application will inform the evaluation process.
